Amazon Ads Agency — Marketplace Advertising for Indian Sellers
Marketplace advertising is bid management sitting on top of a product listing: better targeting lowers what you pay for a click, but no amount of bidding rescues a listing that does not convert.
- D2C & ecommerce
- Beauty & personal care
- Health, wellness & nutrition
- Home & kitchen
- Fashion & apparel
Amazon is a search engine with a checkout attached, and most advertising problems on it turn out to be listing problems wearing a disguise. If the title misses the words buyers type, the images do not answer the obvious questions, reviews are thin or the price sits above the buy-box competition, campaigns will keep spending while the conversion rate keeps the cost of sale high. Bidding harder into that simply buys more expensive clicks on the same unconvincing page.
So the listing is the first lever and the campaigns are the second. Harvesting does most of the ongoing work: automatic and broad campaigns surface the search terms real buyers use, profitable terms graduate into exact-match campaigns with bids of their own, and wasteful ones become negatives. Then the account is judged on total advertising cost of sale, which compares spend to all sales, because that is the number showing whether advertising is building organic rank or merely renting it.
Is this the right fit?
- D2C brands whose marketplace listings were set up once and never revisited
- Sellers watching ad spend rise while total sales stay flat
- Brands launching a new product with no reviews and no ranking yet
- Accounts where a few broad keywords absorb most of the daily budget
- Teams selling on a Shopify store and marketplaces with no shared view of profit
What amazon ads includes
Listing and content audit
Titles, bullets, backend search terms, images and enhanced brand content reviewed against the queries you want to win and against the listings currently outranking you. We quantify the conversion rate the page needs before bidding changes are worth making.
Structure across ad types
Sponsored Products as the core, Sponsored Brands where brand registry and headline placements are open to the account, and Sponsored Display for retargeting and defending your own detail pages. Eligibility differs by account and category, so we confirm before planning around it.
Search-term harvesting
A weekly routine: pull the search-term report, promote converting terms into exact-match campaigns with their own bids, and push wasteful ones into negatives. This is the single highest-return habit in any marketplace account we have taken over.
Negative keyword and placement discipline
Negatives maintained at campaign and ad-group level, alongside placement bid adjustments, so budget stops leaking into irrelevant queries, competitor size variants and browsing terms. The list is reviewed on a schedule rather than written once at launch.
TACoS and profitability reporting
Total advertising cost of sale reported alongside cost of sale per campaign, so you can see whether paid spend is pulling organic rank upward or quietly substituting for it. Margin after referral and fulfilment fees is included where you share those figures.
Flipkart where it matters
Where your category carries genuine volume on Flipkart, the same harvesting and negative discipline extends to it. Tooling and reporting differ from Amazon, so the accounts keep separate targets rather than assuming what works on one carries across.
How we run it
Fix the page first
Listing work before bid work. Advertising a page that does not convert is the most expensive possible way to discover that it does not convert.
Rebuild the structure
Campaigns separated by ad type, match type and product priority, so bids can be set against intent instead of averaged across a whole catalogue.
Harvest every week
Search-term reports worked weekly: terms promoted, negatives added, bids moved only where the data is sufficient to justify the change.
Shift the target
Once organic rank starts moving, targets move from campaign cost of sale to total advertising cost of sale at individual product level.
Defend, then expand
Own-brand defence on your detail pages first, then controlled expansion into competitor and category targeting where the margin genuinely supports it.
What you actually get
- Listing audit with prioritised content and image fixes
- Rebuilt campaign structure by ad type and match type
- Weekly search-term harvest and negative keyword updates
- Bid management against product-level targets
- Sponsored Brands and Sponsored Display builds where the account is eligible
- TACoS and cost-of-sale reporting at product level
- Flipkart campaign management where the category justifies it
- Monthly written review with the next set of actions
How pricing works
Marketplace management is a monthly retainer sized against catalogue size and ad spend, starting from the published single managed channel price of ₹25,000 a month shown on our pricing page. A one-off listing remediation project is quoted separately by number of products, since that work is heavily front-loaded. We quote properly only after seeing the advertising console and one full search-term report.

Amazon Ads: frequently asked
What is a good ACoS on Amazon India?
It depends on your margin after referral, fulfilment and returns, not on a category benchmark. Work out the cost of sale at which a unit breaks even, then set targets deliberately above or below it: below for products you are harvesting profit from, above for a launch where you are buying rank and reviews. A figure borrowed from someone else's profit and loss means nothing.
What is TACoS and why does it matter more than ACoS?
Total advertising cost of sale compares ad spend to all sales, paid and organic together. Cost of sale looks only at the revenue the ads are credited with. If cost of sale holds steady while TACoS falls, advertising is lifting organic rank and the account is getting healthier. If TACoS climbs while total sales stay flat, you are paying for sales you already had.
Can advertising fix a listing that does not sell?
No. Ads change how many people see the page; the page decides how many of them buy. If the images fail to answer obvious objections, the reviews are thin or the price sits off the buy box, extra traffic only raises the cost of the same poor conversion rate. That is why listing work comes before any bidding changes.
How often should search-term reports be reviewed?
Weekly for an active account, with a longer look each month. Marketplace search behaviour shifts with seasons, festival sales and competitor launches, so a negative list built at launch is stale within a quarter. The routine matters more than the sophistication: consistent harvesting beats occasional restructuring in nearly every account we inherit.
Do you run Flipkart as well as Amazon?
Where the category carries real volume there, yes. Some categories in India sell substantially on Flipkart and others barely register, so we look at your own sales split before recommending it. Tooling and reporting differ from Amazon, so the two run with separate targets rather than an assumption that tactics transfer between them.
