Performance Marketing Agency for Canadian Brands
Canada is a small, bilingual and heavily cross-border market, so campaigns built for it usually have to answer a Quebec question and a United States question at the same time.

Canada looks like a smaller version of its neighbour until you try to run a campaign in it. Around forty million people, most of them within a couple of hours of the American border, spread over six time zones, with a French-speaking province that has its own language legislation and its own privacy statute. Reach is cheaper than it is south of the border, but the addressable audience runs out faster, and that changes how long any single creative can stay live.
MADDEX Media has no Canadian entity, office or staff. The work is delivered from India, and the reason a Canadian brand considers that arrangement is usually arithmetic: a domestic retainer for one channel costs several times what we charge, and the difference tends to be better spent on creative production. Shopify is a Canadian company, and it is the stack most of the brands we are asked about already run on, as did the twelve case studies we publish.
A consumer market of roughly forty million concentrated in a handful of metropolitan areas, with Shopify-based D2C, resource and industrial exporters, and a retail landscape where Amazon.ca, Canadian Tire and Walmart Canada take a large share of product search while a great many brands earn most of their revenue selling across the border.
MADDEX Media is based in Noida, Uttar Pradesh, India. We have no office, entity or team in Canada: Canada accounts are run remotely from India. We say so here rather than implying a local presence, because a client can check it in a minute and an invented one is worth nothing.
Who we work with here, and what they need
Shopify-native D2C
The home-grown ecommerce stack, and the usual constraint is audience size. Creative fatigues quickly against a population of forty million, so the testing calendar does more for cost per purchase than any targeting change.
Outdoor, apparel and seasonal goods
A climate-driven demand curve with narrow selling windows and inventory that cannot wait a quarter. Campaigns are planned around shipping cut-offs and weather rather than a flat annual budget.
Health, wellness and supplements
Health Canada rules on what a product may claim are stricter than platform policy in several places, so copy has to be written against the approved label rather than against whichever angle performed elsewhere.
Cross-border sellers into the US
Many brands here earn more south of the border than at home. That means two currencies, two delivery stories and usually two separate ad accounts with genuinely different unit economics.
B2B, industrial and professional services
Long cycles concentrated in Toronto, Calgary and the Ontario manufacturing corridor, where search intent capture and attribution on the CRM side matter far more than paid social reach.
Education and immigration services
Colleges and consultancies marketing to applicants who are still overseas, where the buying decision is slow, the audience is abroad and trust signals decide whether an enquiry arrives at all.
What Canada businesses are actually looking for
- Canadian founders comparing a domestic retainer against an offshore team
- Shopify brands wanting Meta creative volume they cannot produce in-house
- Companies asking whether Quebec needs its own campaigns and creative
- Brands preparing to open a US ad account alongside the Canadian one
- Marketing managers who need execution capacity rather than another strategy deck
Which channels tend to work in Canada
Meta reach is comparatively cheap here, but the pool is shallow: frequency climbs fast against forty million people, so a creative will fatigue in weeks where it might last a quarter in a larger market. Google Search holds the intent, particularly for services and considered purchases, and bilingual keyword coverage is very often left half-built on the French side. Amazon.ca is significant without being decisive, which means a brand's own site still carries most of the D2C revenue.
Running a Canada account from India
Our afternoon and evening covers the Toronto and Montreal morning, and the Vancouver morning falls in our late evening, so an account spanning both coasts is touched twice in a single day of ours. Reporting is a written Monday note plus a dashboard you can open whenever you like, with a scheduled call every two weeks. Fees are invoiced in Canadian dollars or Indian rupees, whichever your bookkeeping prefers, and media spend sits on your own card inside your own Meta and Google accounts.
CASL is the piece foreign agencies most often miss: Canada requires express or clearly implied consent before a commercial electronic message, with record-keeping to prove it, so a list assembled for a US campaign cannot simply be mailed here. Quebec's Law 25 and the Charter of the French Language add consent and language obligations that reach the ad and the landing page, not only the privacy policy. Consent Mode is not mandated as it is across the EEA, but the Shopify customer privacy API and a server-side tag remain the practical way to hold conversion measurement together after iOS opt-outs.

Canada: frequently asked
Do we need separate French campaigns for Quebec?
If Quebec is a real share of your revenue, yes. Quebec language legislation expects French to be at least as prominent as English in commercial communication, and a machine-translated ad reads as machine-translated to a Montreal customer. We build and manage the campaign structure, budgets and testing, and we ask you to supply or approve the French through a native writer, because we are not one. Pretending otherwise would cost you money.
Can you handle CASL compliance for our email and SMS?
We can build the flows and campaigns inside Klaviyo or whichever platform you use, but consent is your legal position rather than ours. Practically that means mailing only contacts with express or clearly implied consent, keeping the record of when and how it was given, and including a working unsubscribe and a physical mailing address in every message. Where an imported list has no consent trail, our advice is to leave it alone.
How does invoicing work in Canadian dollars?
We issue an invoice you can settle in CAD by international transfer, Wise or Payoneer, or in INR if that is simpler for you. Our published starting prices convert to roughly CAD 400 a month for single-channel management, around CAD 320 a month for SEO and about CAD 240 for a one-off audit. Those are indicative and move with the exchange rate. Ad budget is paid by you directly to Meta and Google and never passes through us.
What is the minimum commitment?
Three months, because anything shorter is not honest about how long the work takes. Weeks one to three go on tracking and structure, weeks four to eight on finding creative that holds up, and only after that does scaling mean anything at all. Past the first three months it runs month to month with thirty days notice on either side. There is no automatic annual renewal and no exit fee.
Have you worked with Canadian clients before?
Our documented results are Indian Shopify brands: twelve case studies covering over ₹49Cr in tracked revenue, part of more than ₹50Cr managed across 32+ brands. We will not relabel those as Canadian work. The mechanics transfer directly, since Meta and Google behave the same way in Toronto as in Mumbai, while the competitor set, the retail context and the seasonal calendar have to come from you in the first fortnight.
