Performance Marketing Agency for UK Brands

Britain sends a larger share of its retail spending online than any other large economy, and the auction reflects it, so a UK account is won on creative and on what happens after the click.

The United Kingdom puts a larger proportion of its retail spending through the internet than either the United States or Germany, which means the shopper is experienced, comparison-trained and quick to abandon. Black Friday now stretches across most of November, split-payment options sit on the majority of checkouts, and Google holds a share of search here that makes paid defence of your own brand terms a genuine line item rather than a theoretical one.

We are based in India and hold no United Kingdom office, company or number. That should be the first thing you know about us, not something found later on Companies House. The offsetting facts are a working day that covers a full London morning and afternoon, five years on the platforms, more than ₹50Cr of spend managed across 32+ brands, and a single-channel fee that starts near £230 a month against our published Indian rates.

What this market runs on

A retail economy with one of the highest online shares in the world, dominated by Google on the search side, split between Amazon.co.uk, eBay and unusually strong own-brand ecommerce on the retail side, and heavily reliant on split-payment checkout options across fashion, beauty and homeware.

MADDEX Media is based in Noida, Uttar Pradesh, India. We have no office, entity or team in United Kingdom: United Kingdom accounts are run remotely from India. We say so here rather than implying a local presence, because a client can check it in a minute and an invented one is worth nothing.

United Kingdom industries

Who we work with here, and what they need

Fashion and accessories

The most competitive consumer auction in the country and the most exposed to returns. Profitability is decided by return rate and repeat purchase, so a creative brief has to cover fit, fabric and delivery rather than only the look.

Beauty and grooming

Fast-moving, creator-driven and price-anchored by the high street chains. Winning ads tend to be short demonstration rather than polished brand film, and the review count on the product page does much of the persuading.

Food, drink and subscription boxes

Repeat purchase is the entire business, so a high first-order acquisition cost is defensible when the second and third orders are reliable. That makes cohort reporting far more useful than campaign-level ROAS.

Home, garden and DIY

Seasonal and weather-led, with high order values and long consideration. Search captures most of the intent while paid social does better at introducing a brand months before the purchase happens.

Regulated and financial services

Advertising approval slows creative turnaround considerably, and compliant claim language has to be agreed with your compliance team before anything is produced, rather than corrected after a platform disapproval has already stalled a launch.

B2B and SaaS

Concentrated around London, Manchester and the Cambridge corridor, where search capture, comparison content and offline conversion tracking matter far more than reach on social platforms.

Who searches for this

What United Kingdom businesses are actually looking for

  • UK founders whose agency fee is larger than their creative budget
  • Ecommerce managers needing more creative tests per month than in-house allows
  • Brands whose reported ROAS collapsed after a consent banner change
  • Businesses wanting a partner inside UK hours without hiring in London
  • Teams looking for a paid audit before committing to any retainer

Which channels tend to work in United Kingdom

Google takes an unusually large share of UK search, so brand-term defence and a well-built Shopping feed are normally the highest-return paid work available, and Performance Max will quietly consume branded traffic unless it is fenced. Meta carries discovery and remains the cheapest place to find a first-time customer, but November CPMs rise steeply here and a creative pipeline planned in October is already late. TikTok and YouTube deliver reach in younger categories without picking up last-click credit, which is an argument for incrementality testing rather than for cutting them.

How it works across time zones

Running a United Kingdom account from India

India runs four and a half to five and a half hours ahead of London, so our day covers your morning and most of your afternoon, and a request sent at 9am is usually answered before you finish yours. You get a weekly call at a British-friendly hour, a written Monday review and a dashboard that does not need a meeting to be readable. Invoices are raised in pounds or rupees, we charge no UK VAT as an overseas supplier and a UK business customer normally applies the reverse charge, which your accountant will confirm, and ad spend stays on your own card inside accounts you own.

UK GDPR and PECR put a consent banner in front of the tags, and since March 2024 Google has required Consent Mode v2 for remarketing and audience features to keep working, so a mis-set banner surfaces as missing conversions long before anyone recognises it as a legal problem. Apple's tracking prompt removes a meaningful share of Meta's iOS signal, which is why the Conversions API and server-side tagging belong in the initial setup. Shopify with Klaviyo is the common D2C stack, while Amazon.co.uk and eBay take a share of product search that a brand site campaign is implicitly bidding against.

United Kingdom: frequently asked

Do you have a UK office?

No, and we will not claim one. MADDEX Media works from India with no United Kingdom entity, address or landline. A stated fact is worth more than a forwarding address in Shoreditch, and a fabricated location damages search credibility anyway. What you get instead is a team inside your working hours, published starting prices, and full access to every account we touch so you can check the work rather than take it on trust.

How do UK GDPR and consent affect what you can do?

Consent decides what data reaches the ad platforms at all. We work with whichever consent management platform you already run, configure Google Consent Mode v2 correctly, and rely on modelled conversions where consent is withheld. We are a marketing supplier, not your data controller and not your solicitor: the lawful basis, the privacy notice and the retention policy remain yours, and we will flag it where the tag setup and the notice disagree.

What would this cost in pounds?

Our published rates convert to roughly £230 a month for managing a single channel, about £180 a month for SEO and around £135 for a standalone account audit, with landing pages from about £230 and a website build from about £460. Those are indicative conversions of Indian pricing and move with the exchange rate, so the invoice can be raised in pounds or rupees. Media budget is entirely separate and paid by you straight to Google and Meta.

Have you actually run campaigns for British brands?

Our published case studies are Indian Shopify brands, twelve of them covering more than ₹49Cr in tracked revenue, and we are not going to present them as UK work. The platform mechanics transfer without modification. What does not transfer is tone, retailer context and a British sensitivity to anything reading as overclaiming, which is why early creative goes through you before it goes live.

What happens to the accounts if we stop working together?

Nothing moves. The Meta Business Manager, the Google Ads account, the GA4 property, the pixel and the creative library are yours throughout, and we sit inside them as users. On exit you remove our access and we leave a handover document covering campaign structure, naming conventions, tracking configuration and what was tested with what result, so whoever comes next is not starting blind.
